Components (Perkin Elmer Autosystem (XL)/Clarus GCs)
Select the components of the gas chromatograph to be controlled by Chromeleon. If a component is not selected here, it cannot be controlled by Chromeleon.
| Options | Select the GC type:

The GC type "Clarus 500 (compatibility)" is provided for backward compatibility with Clarus 500 configurations that were made in Chromeleon versions 6.80 SR10 and earlier. Use the compatibility type if you want to keep your current configuration. In this case, the new functions that are provided for the Clarus 400/500 cannot be used. |

| Programmable pneumatic (PPC) | Enable this option if the GC provides Programmable Pneumatic Control (PPC) and then select a pressure unit from the PPC Pressure unit list box:

The selected pressure unit must match the unit set on the device. Otherwise, the GC cannot be connected. Check the unit on the System > PPC > Unit menu on the device. If the unit is set to kPa on the device, you can use kPa or bar in Chromeleon. If the unit is set to psig on the device, you can only use psig. |

| Enable display update for Clarus | (All Clarus types listed in section Options above, except GCs of type "Clarus 500 (compatibility)".) When this check box is selected, method and configuration parameters displayed on the Clarus GC are updated upon each change of any of these parameters in Chromeleon.
In very rare occasions, enabling this option may cause problems to control the GC. In that case, it is recommended to disable the check box again.
This feature is not intended for use with GC configurations of the type Clarus 500 (compatibility) (see above note under Options). It is therefore strongly recommended to disable this check box when operating a GC in Clarus 500 (compatibility) mode. |

Name: Accept the name under which the instrument is identified
in the installation environment (Also, refer to Naming
