Oven

Minimum Temperature:

Sets the lower limit of the temperature range adjustable on the control panel. If liquid nitrogen is used for cooling (cryogenic cooling), temperatures as low as -99°C are possible. The allowed input range is between -99°C and 200°C.

 

 

Maximum Temperature:

Defines the upper limit (maximum allowed temperature: 420°C) of the temperature range adjustable on the control panel. The Maximum Temperature must be at least 10°C higher than the Minimum Temperature.

 

Injector A

Device Name:

Indicates the name under which the instrument is identified in the installation environment (Also, refer to Naming Devices...). To control the instrument via the existing Control Panels, accept the default name. If you do not accept the default name, you may have to edit the PGM Files and re-link the corresponding control of the control panel. (Also, refer to How to: Controlling Devices from the Control Panel  Linking a Control to a Device in the User Help section.)

 

 

Heater:

Select this check box to enable temperature control for the injector oven.

 

 

Minimum Temperature:

The allowed input range is between -99°C and 200°C.

 

 

Maximum Temperature:

Maximum allowed temperature: 420°C. The Maximum Temperature must be at least 10°C higher than the Minimum Temperature.

 

Detector A/Detector B

Device Name:

Refer to Injector.

 

 

Heater:

Select this check box to enable temperature control for the detector oven.

 

 

Minimum Temperature:

The allowed input range is between 20°C and 200°C.

 

 

Maximum Temperature:

Maximum allowed temperature: 420°C. The Maximum Temperature must be at least 10°C higher than the Minimum Temperature.

Detector Type:

Indicate which detector type is used:

  • TCD = Thermal Conductivity Detector

  • FID = Flame Ionization Detector

  • TSD = Thermionic Specific Detector

  • ECD = Electron Capture Detector

 

Aux

Device Name:

Refer to Injector.

 

 

Heater:

Select this check box to enable the temperature control for the Auxiliary Device.

 

 

Minimum Temperature:

The allowed input range is between -99°C and 200°C.

 

 

Maximum Temperature:

Maximum allowed temperature: 420°C. The Maximum Temperature must be at least 10°C higher than the Minimum Temperature.

 

 Tip:

If a connect command is sent from Chromeleon, the temperature limit will be set according to the actual Server Configuration settings. Verify that these settings are correct.
